Fall of Winter
UoB Game Jam
During one of the University of Bolton charity game jams for special effects, me and my friends decided to form a team and enter the game jam for the first time.
We had 32 hours to create a game with a team consisting of 3 game designers and a graphic designer. The theme given was "Fall", so our team decided to create "The Fall of winter". We all had our different roles to help bring our game to completion.
I chose the role of a level designer and a programmer for the team. As the level designer, I was in charge of creating the map layout and deciding which area of the map should the game difficulty increase.
Team members Alex Murphy (Games Designer) Scott Ledingham (Games Designer) Paige Kelly (Graphic Designer) Guest Judge - Jupiter Hadley
The Fall of winter is a platformer game where the player has to make it through the level without dying from either the cold or falling obstacles
And as the programmer, I was in charge the blueprints in UE4 and the in game interactions which would improve the game play.
Even though we didn't win first place, Fall of Winter was placed runner up. As this was our first ever game jam, we were proud to have our game recognized and gain such an experience. With our spirits lifted up, we aimed to enter more game jams
